Hebrew Scriptures
Torah and prophets
Hebrew Scriptures refers to the collection of sacred Jewish texts, comprising the Torah (Law), Nevi'im (Prophets), and Ketuvim (Writings).
Christians call these texts the Old Testament, though that term implies a relationship to the New Testament that Jews don't recognize.
The Hebrew Scriptures were originally written in Hebrew and Aramaic.
