Hanukkah traditions
Festival of Lights customs
Hanukkah traditions are the customs observed during the eight-day Jewish festival of lights.
Central practices include lighting candles on the menorah (one additional candle each night), playing dreidel, eating foods fried in oil like latkes and sufganiyot, exchanging gifts, and reciting blessings.
Our family's Hanukkah traditions include making latkes from my grandmother's recipe.
