Passover traditions
Haggadah reading rituals
Passover traditions are the customs and rituals observed during the Jewish holiday commemorating the Israelites' exodus from Egypt.
The centerpiece is the seder, a ceremonial meal featuring symbolic foods: matzah (unleavened bread), bitter herbs, and charoset.
Families read from the Haggadah, retell the exodus story, and children ask the Four Questions.
Other traditions include removing all leavened bread from the home and leaving a cup of wine for the prophet Elijah.
