Gulf War vet

Kuwait conflict survivor

A Gulf War vet is a military veteran who served in the 1990–91 Persian Gulf War, when a U.S.-led coalition expelled Iraqi forces from Kuwait.

The term sometimes extends to veterans of the 2003 Iraq War and subsequent operations, though these are more precisely called Iraq War veterans.

My uncle is a Gulf War vet who still deals with health issues from his deployment.
