Godot

Never arrives onstage

Godot has two distinct meanings in contemporary usage.

From Samuel Beckett's play *Waiting for Godot*, the name represents something or someone endlessly awaited but never arriving: We've been waiting for this software update like it's Godot.

Separately, Godot is an open-source game engine popular with independent developers, named with a nod to Beckett's play.
