Germanophobia

Hatred of Deutschland

Germanophobia is fear or hatred of Germany, German people, or German culture.

The term saw heavy use during the World Wars, when anti-German sentiment ran high in Allied nations: Germanophobia led to the renaming of sauerkraut as "liberty cabbage".

A person with such attitudes is a Germanophobe.
