Galileans
Jesus's regional followers
Galileans are people from Galilee, the region in northern Israel where Jesus grew up and conducted much of his ministry.
In the New Testament, Jesus and most of his disciples were Galileans, and the term sometimes appears as a near-synonym for early Christians.
Galileans spoke with a distinctive accent that marked them as provincial to Judeans: Your accent betrays you as a Galilean.
