The White Album
Untitled Beatles double
The White Album is the common name for the Beatles' 1968 double album, officially titled *The Beatles*.
The nickname comes from its plain white cover.
Among the most influential rock albums ever made, it spawned phrases like back in the USSR and happiness is a warm gun.
By extension, any artist's self-titled album with minimal artwork may be called their white album.
