Dr. Robotnik
Dr.
Robotnik is the main antagonist in the Sonic the Hedgehog video game franchise, a rotund mad scientist who builds robots and schemes to conquer the world.
Also known as Dr.
Eggman (his original Japanese name), he has become an iconic video game villain since the early 1990s.
The name is sometimes used figuratively for any bumbling evil genius: He's got real Dr. Robotnik energy with all those failed inventions.
