Discord mod
Chat room authority
A Discord mod is a volunteer moderator on a Discord server, responsible for enforcing rules, removing problematic content, and managing community interactions.
The term often carries stereotypical connotations—someone who spends excessive time online, wields minor authority with disproportionate seriousness, and fits the basement-dwelling power-tripper archetype: He's got real Discord mod energy.
The stereotype suggests someone socially awkward, chronically online, and overly invested in their unpaid internet role.
