Dari
Afghan Persian variant
Dari is one of the two official languages of Afghanistan, closely related to Farsi (Persian) and mutually intelligible with it.
Sometimes called Afghan Persian, it serves as a lingua franca among Afghanistan's diverse ethnic groups and is the primary language of government, education, and media.
Dari uses a modified Arabic script and shares much vocabulary with Farsi, though pronunciation and some vocabulary differ.
She learned Dari before her deployment to Kabul.
