Cablevision

New York provider

Cablevision was an American cable television company that operated primarily in the New York metropolitan area from 1973 until its acquisition by Altice in 2016.

The name persists in references to regional cable service and as a generic term for cable television providers: I need to call Cablevision about the outage.
