Bodleian

Famous Oxford repository

The Bodleian is the main research library of Oxford University, one of the oldest and largest libraries in Europe.

It functions as a legal deposit library, entitled to receive a copy of every book published in the United Kingdom.

The name appears almost exclusively in the phrase the Bodleian Library or simply the Bodleian: I spent the afternoon researching in the Bodleian.
