Belter
Space rock resident
A belter is British slang for something or someone outstanding—an excellent example of its kind: That goal was an absolute belter.
The term often describes a powerful singer who belts out songs, or a particularly impressive performance.
In science fiction (notably *The Expanse*), Belters are people who live and work in the asteroid belt, distinct from Earth and Mars populations.
