Audio-Animatronics

Mechanical moving figures

Audio-Animatronics is Disney's trademark for robotic figures that move and speak in synchronized performances, used in theme park attractions since the 1960s.

The technology combines audio playback with pneumatic or electronic animation to create lifelike characters—from singing pirates to talking presidents.

The term has become loosely applied to similar animatronic systems regardless of manufacturer.
