The Atlanta Hawks are a professional basketball team in the National Basketball Association, based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Founded in 1946, the franchise has moved through several cities—the Tri-Cities, Milwaukee, and St.
Louis—before settling in Atlanta in 1968.
The Hawks have won one NBA championship, in 1958, while based in St.
Louis.
The Hawks made the playoffs again this year.
