Macon

Central Georgia hub

Macon is a city in central Georgia, the fourth-largest in the state.

It sits along the Ocmulgee River and serves as a regional hub for middle Georgia: We drove through Macon on our way to Atlanta.

Macon is also a wine-producing region in Burgundy, France, known for white wines made from Chardonnay grapes.
