Astoria

Oregon coastal city

Astoria is a place name for several American locations, most notably a neighborhood in Queens, New York, and a city at the mouth of the Columbia River in Oregon.

The Oregon city was named for fur trader John Jacob Astor, whose company established a trading post there in 1811.

The Queens neighborhood, also named for Astor, is known for its diverse immigrant communities and Greek-American population.
