Apollo capsule
Lunar mission pod
Apollo capsule refers to the spacecraft that carried American astronauts during NASA's Apollo program (1961–1972), which culminated in the first crewed Moon landings.
The conical command module, where astronauts lived during missions, is what most people picture: The Apollo capsule splashed down in the Pacific.
The term sometimes extends to the full command-service module assembly.
