A.A. Milne

Milne (1882–1956) was an English author best known for creating Winnie-the-Pooh and the inhabitants of the Hundred Acre Wood—Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger, and others.
The characters were inspired by his son Christopher Robin's stuffed animals.
Milne also wrote plays, novels, and light verse, but his children's books overshadowed everything else he produced.
