35mm slides
Mounted film frames
35mm slides are transparent photographic images mounted in cardboard or plastic frames, designed for projection onto a screen.
The format dominated educational and professional presentations before digital technology, and was popular for home viewing of vacation photos.
A carousel or tray held multiple slides for sequential display.
We spent the evening looking at Grandpa's old slides from Europe.
