A zone of peace is a region where nations have formally agreed to resolve conflicts without military force, or more loosely, any area characterized by sustained absence of armed conflict.
The term appears in diplomatic agreements and political rhetoric: Southeast Asia was declared a zone of peace.
It can also describe interpersonal boundaries: I need my bedroom to be a zone of peace.
