z-fold
Back-and-forth creasing
A z-fold is a method of folding paper in accordion-style pleats that form a Z shape when viewed from the edge.
Common in brochures, maps, and mailers, it allows panels to unfold sequentially or all at once: The pamphlet was designed as a z-fold for easy mailing.
Also called a zigzag fold or accordion fold.
