wroth
Seething with fury
Wroth is an archaic or literary word for angry or wrathful: The king was wroth with his advisors.
It survives mainly in biblical translations and deliberately old-fashioned prose.
Unlike modern "angry," wroth suggests righteous or intense fury rather than ordinary irritation.
