wine press
Vineyard juice extractor
A wine press is a device for crushing grapes to extract their juice for winemaking.
Traditional presses used mechanical pressure—a screw mechanism or weighted plate—to squeeze the fruit.
Modern versions may use pneumatic bladders or continuous belt systems.
The term also refers to the building or area housing such equipment: We toured the old stone wine press at the vineyard.
