window pane
See-through wall section
A window pane is a single sheet of glass fitted into a window frame.
Most windows contain multiple panes separated by muntins or mullions: The old farmhouse had six-over-six window panes.
The term distinguishes the glass itself from the window as a whole.
Also spelled as one word: windowpane.
