white beard
Sage's facial feature
A white beard is a beard that has turned white or gray with age.
By extension, a whitebeard (one word) is an old man, especially one viewed as wise or venerable: The whitebeards on the council had seen it all before.
The term evokes elderly sages, village elders, or wizardly figures in fantasy.
