white bear
Pale northern predator
A white bear is a polar bear, the large Arctic carnivore with white or yellowish fur.
The phrase also appears in psychology: a "white bear problem" refers to the phenomenon where trying not to think about something makes you think about it more, from experiments asking subjects not to think of a white bear.
Don't think of a white bear.
