war flag
Military unit's colors
A war flag is a flag carried or displayed by military forces, often bearing symbols of unit identity, national allegiance, or martial tradition.
War flags serve as rallying points in battle and symbols of honor—capturing an enemy's flag meant victory, losing one's own meant disgrace.
The regiment's war flag had been carried through three campaigns.
