walkie
Handheld radio device
A walkie is informal shorthand for a walkie-talkie—a handheld two-way radio: Grab the walkies so we can stay in touch on the trail.
In film and television production, walkies are standard equipment for crew communication.
The term sometimes appears in baby talk for a walk: Want to go for a walkie?
