voice deepening
Lower register developing
Voice deepening is the process by which a person's voice becomes lower in pitch.
It occurs naturally during male puberty as the larynx grows and vocal cords lengthen.
The term also describes intentional deepening through hormone therapy, particularly testosterone taken by transgender men: He noticed voice deepening after a few months on T.
