vizard
Concealing face piece
A vizard is a mask, especially one worn to conceal or disguise the face.
The word is archaic, appearing mainly in historical contexts or period literature: The mysterious woman wore a black vizard.
It derives from the same root as visor, which has largely replaced it in modern usage.
