violin duet
Two fiddles together
A violin duet is a musical composition written for two violins, or a performance of such a piece.
The term can refer to either the work itself or the pair of musicians playing it: The concert opened with a violin duet by Mozart.
Unlike violin with piano accompaniment, a true duet treats both instruments as equal partners.
