piano duet
Shared bench performance
A piano duet is a piece of music for two pianists.
Most commonly, both players share a single piano, sitting side by side—one taking the higher register, the other the lower: We played a four-hand piano duet at the recital.
Less often, the term describes two pianists at separate instruments performing together.
