Aged artistic copy
A vintage print is a photographic print made by the photographer (or under their supervision) shortly after the negative was created, typically within a few years.
In photography collecting, vintage prints are more valuable than later prints from the same negative because they represent the artist's original intent and period materials: The gallery acquired a vintage print from Ansel Adams's early work.
The term distinguishes these from modern prints made decades later from old negatives.
