verb endings
Tense-indicating suffixes
Verb endings are the suffixes attached to verbs that indicate grammatical information—tense, person, number, or mood.
In English, common verb endings include -s for third person singular she walks, -ed for past tense they walked, and -ing for continuous forms he is walking.
Languages with richer inflection systems have more elaborate verb endings than English.
