Lego is informal shorthand for Lego bricks or the Lego brand of interlocking plastic building toys.
Though the company insists on "Lego bricks" rather than "Legos" or "lego," casual usage ignores this: The kids were playing with lego all afternoon.
The word sometimes appears as a modifier: lego set, lego movie. (Capitalized Lego is the trademark.)
