untinned
Lacking tin coating
Untinned describes something that lacks a tin coating or has had such a coating removed.
Tinning protects metal from corrosion, so untinned copper or steel is more vulnerable to rust and oxidation: untinned copper cookware.
In British usage, untinned can also mean not preserved in tins (cans): untinned vegetables.
