unpickled
Skipped the brine
Unpickled describes something that has not undergone pickling—preserved in brine, vinegar, or similar solution.
The word usually appears in contrast to pickled versions: unpickled cucumbers, unpickled herring.
Occasionally used figuratively to mean sober, playing on *pickled* as slang for drunk.
