unrope
Free from cord
To unrope is to detach from a rope, especially in climbing contexts where climbers disconnect from the safety line connecting them: We unroped at the summit.
The term appears in mountaineering when terrain becomes safe enough to proceed without being tied together, or when a climb is complete.
