undrained
Holding stagnant water
Undrained describes land or soil that has not had water removed from it, remaining waterlogged or saturated.
In geotechnical engineering, undrained conditions refer to situations where water cannot escape from soil during loading: undrained shear strength.
The term also applies to food not drained of liquid: Add the undrained tomatoes to the pot.
