tripped breaker
Safety switch activated
A tripped breaker is an electrical circuit breaker that has automatically switched off to prevent damage from overcurrent or a short circuit.
The breaker "trips" when it detects dangerous conditions, cutting power to that circuit.
Resetting requires manually flipping the switch back: The microwave stopped working—probably a tripped breaker.
Finding and fixing what caused the trip should precede resetting.
