trimesters
Academic year divisions
Trimesters are periods of three months, most commonly the three divisions of human pregnancy.
The first trimester brings early development and morning sickness; the second is often the easiest; the third ends with delivery.
Academic calendars also divide into trimesters: The fall trimester runs through December.
