tree view
Nested folder visualization
A tree view is a graphical interface element that displays hierarchical data as nested, expandable branches—like a family tree or org chart turned sideways.
File browsers typically show folders this way, with arrows or triangles that expand to reveal contents: Click the arrow in the tree view to see subfolders.
The name comes from the resemblance to a branching tree structure.
