trapezing

Flying between bars

Trapezing is swinging or performing on a trapeze, the suspended bar used by acrobats.

In sailing, trapezing means leaning out over the water while attached to a wire harness to counterbalance the boat's tilt: She was trapezing off the side of the dinghy when the wind shifted.

Figuratively, trapezing suggests moving with acrobatic grace or daring leaps between things.
