transit van
Commercial delivery vehicle
A transit van is a large panel van used for transporting goods, equipment, or work crews.
The term comes from the Ford Transit, a commercial vehicle so dominant in Britain that the name became generic for any medium-sized cargo van: We'll need a transit van to move all this furniture.
Primarily British usage.
