trailer home
Towable residential unit
A trailer home is a prefabricated dwelling designed to be transported on wheels, though typically it stays in one place once positioned.
The term often carries class connotations, associated with lower-income housing and rural or semi-rural settings: They grew up in a trailer home outside of town.
Also called a mobile home or manufactured home, with the latter being the industry's preferred term.
