time-blindness

Clock awareness deficit

Time-blindness is difficulty perceiving the passage of time accurately, leading to chronic lateness, missed deadlines, and poor time estimation.

The term emerged from discussions of ADHD, where it describes a core symptom: the inability to sense how long tasks take or how much time has passed.

Someone with time-blindness might think ten minutes have elapsed when an hour has gone by, or genuinely believe they can complete a two-hour task in thirty minutes.

My time-blindness means I set alarms for everything.
