thieveries

Acts of pilfering

Thieveries is the plural of thievery—acts of stealing or the practice of theft.

The word carries a slightly literary or formal tone compared to simple "thefts": The museum documented the thieveries that had depleted its collection over decades.

It can also describe a pattern of dishonest taking: corporate thieveries, petty thieveries.
