the star
The main attraction
The star typically refers to a singular prominent figure or celestial body, distinguished from others by context.
In entertainment, the star is the lead performer or main attraction: She's the star of the show.
In astronomy, it often means the sun: The star at the center of our solar system.
The definite article signals preeminence—not just any star, but the one that matters most in the situation.
